A two-story home in Chesapeake was destroyed Tuesday night, but fortunately, the occupants were able to get out of the burning building. The Chesapeake Fire Department said crews were called to the 3600 block of Daniel Way around 9:21 p.m. and the fire was brought under control at 9:49pm

A man and a woman are OK after they escaped a house fire by climbing out a back window early Monday morning, the San Antonio Fire Department said. Fire officials said it took more than hour to make sure the flames and smoke were completely out. The house was completely destroyed by the fire, firefighters said.

An occupant was treated for smoke inhalation and three dogs died in a house fire early Monday morning in North Providence, according to the North Providence Fire Department. The Fire Department took one resident, an adult male, to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of smoke inhalation, according to Silva. Firefighters tried but were unable to resuscitate three dogs that were in the house, he said.
